Media Entertainment Technology Upgrades
Educator Name: Jason Woodwor
School Name: Chesaning Union High School
We have a well established media program where students deliver professional broacasts of Chesaning Union Schools events. Recently, we experimented with covering our graduation ceremony from multiple camera angles. The tech. end of the production worked great. However, we were unable to speak to our camera operators at such distances. We would like to purchase a headset system that would allow us to speak to our camera operators. This system could also be used by our theatre organization CAPA to bring more efficiency to backstage and front of house communications.
I teach both Media and Entertainment technology and can tell you that our students are highly motivated individuals who only lack some of the professional assets of larger schools. These headsets would enable me to better train our students in an environment they will encounter in the professional media and entertainment worlds.
Students will be trained in a more professional environment. Students currently broadcast a news program to the school daily and they will be able to deliver a far more professional product to the community. There is a waiting list to be admitted to our media program which only allows 50 students currently. Our theatre organization currently uses the talents of 100+ students a year. Being that our media and theatre productions are displayed to the entire comunity, thousands will be impacted by your donation.
