Agency Principals

Tim Custer Tim Custer is the owner of the Agency and is licensed in both property and casualty and life and health insurance. Tim is a graduate of Hope College and also has Masters Degrees in Theology from Western Theological Seminary and in Business Management from Aquinas College. Tim and his wife Karen live in Zeeland and have three children. Tim started as a Meemic Agent in 1998.
Stephanie Custer-Vail Stephanie Custer-Vail has worked for the Custer Agency in a part-time role since 2005 and joined us full time as the Assistant Agency Manager in 2013. Licensed in property and casualty and life and health insurance, Stephanie alternates working at all three of our office locations. Stephanie helps coordinate marketing, social media, training and management projects for our agency.​
Larry Custer Larry Custer was a guidance counselor for 36 years. Larry founded the Custer Agency in 1986 and still works at the agency during the mornings each day of the week. Larry is licensed in property and casualty insurance and loves to talk with policyholders about their auto and home coverages and questions. Larry earned both his BA and Master Degrees at Western Michigan University. Larry and his wife Ruth live in Holland and have three children and eight grandchildren.
