Pino Insurance Agency

The Pino Insurance Agency was founded in 2000 by John and Marie Pino. Michele is their eldest daughter and has worked for the agency since 2001. Upon her parents’ retirement, Michele has taken ownership of the agency, and she and her sister Jenifer have partnered to commit to the excellent customer service they have provided since joining the agency. Together they pride themselves on the relationships they have with their customers and value the knowledge in insurance they give to all each and every day.

The Pino Insurance Agency is the sole sponsor of the Rochester Community Schools Excellence in Education Awards. The Excellence in Education program has grown since it first started in 1997, and each year, we have more nominated recipients and more award winners. Per Michele, “It is literally one of my most favorite things to do every year!”

Michele cherishes her working relationship with Oakland University. She is a huge supporter of the Oakland University Athletics, with her continued support of the Oakland University Grizzles basketball and baseball programs. She helped sponsor the opening of the Oakland University Ballroom,  was the sole sponsor of the Meemic Math Challenge and will be a sponsor of the Great Lakes Regional Student Success conference in 2020.

Michele will continue to support her parents’ work in recognizing the educational community through her late grandfather, Dr. Lewis N. Pino, with the Lewis N. Pino Scholarship, and the SEHS Leadership Celebration, where she has her own scholarship for special education called the Brady Youngblood Scholarship. 

The agency is heavily engaged with area schools, such as Rochester Community Schools, Troy Schools, Chippewa Valley Schools, Utica Community Schools, Romeo Community Schools, Oakland University, Oakland Community College, Rochester College and Macomb Community College. Michele and Jenifer grew up in Shelby Township and attended Switzer Elementary, Malow Junior High, and Eisenhower High School. They feel a sense of pride giving back to the educators that helped form what their lives are today.

 

Agency Principal

Michele Beitelshees Michele has been at the Pino Agency since 2001. She attended Oakland University for a couple years, where she joined the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and then graduated from Central Michigan University in 1996. Michele comes from a long line of family and friends who work in the educational field. She is married with three kids. Her oldest attends Grand Valley State University and her younger two are students of Chippewa Valley schools. Her free time is spent with her active children and community events. Her daughter is in competitive dance at Suzette's Masters of Dance and is part of the Dakota Varsity Dance team, and her younger son plays baseball for the East Macomb Muskies and football for the Macomb Mustangs.

Staff

Jenifer Bechamp Jenifer started with the agency in 2002 and is the agency's office manager. Since 2004, she has been a licensed CSR and now helps run the agency with her sister Michele. Jenifer is married with three children. Two of the three attend Utica Community Schools. Her free time is also spent with her active children. Her son plays football for Malow Junior High and baseball for the Detroit Metro Stars. The Pino Agency team also has in our office Patricia Salerno, our administrative assistant, and Andrea Van Heusden, our customer service representative. These two friendly voices and faces help make our office a success.
