Grand Blanc Community Schools Holds Innovation Conference

Aug. 14, 2014

Meemic Agent Mark Owen of the Mark Owen Agency in Davison applauded Amber Hall, Curriculum Director, and Herb Wansitler, Technology Architect, of Grand Blanc Schools, for putting together the successful event for the staff on Thursday, Aug. 14. The program Amber and Herb organized included approximately 28 topics that ranged from technology to teaching strategies and classroom management, with very impressive participation at each session. (All on a voluntary day, Mark noted.)

Amber was one of Mark’s students when he taught in Imlay City and he congratulated her for facilitating an event in which the teachers and community give to each other. Mark’s agency sponsored lunch, while he and other local Grand Blanc businesses donated door prizes. Mark said he was amazed to see the level of commitment demonstrated by the Grand Blanc teaching staff.
